Got My Royal Slam Completed This Spring

Post by soiltester »

Got back from hunting between Chadron and Crawford Nebraska and what a different year it was than my other 3 hunts on pastures and creek bottoms
We were the 11-13th hunters and most all of his turkeys had moved last month, for what ever reason, who knows and it sure wasn't the norm :banghead:
Like Mexico and Texas, cold and windy days and frost on calm mornings and maybe a decent morning and afternoon, well maybe.
Gobblers henned up and call & decoy shy but we did manage at least a good tom each.

All I need is a Rio! Next spring in Texas

Right now I’m trying SouthDakota again.
Hunting in this spot in the morning and after that I’m pulling up stakes and heading to the Custer Rushmore area
Don't start none, won't be none!

I've had 2 World and completed 6 Royals and Slams with 2 Osceola's this spring ;)
This was a "this year" deal, after my wife bought an $8000 violin and asked if I had any hunting trips I wanted to go on this year
Headed to Mi the end of the week
