I haven't received any reports from the FBI or ATF regarding this, anyway, it's too early to determine anything. Post blast investigations take an enormous amount of time and lab analysis. As far as the crater, that is going to depend on where the device was placed in the vehicle, standoff from floor and what type of explosive. Were they using a high or low explosive? Both go BOOM if initiated right, just have a huge variance of velocities. Of course you must consider the surface below which is asphalt or at least from what I've seen.
