It's really sad! A new member makes a request about hunting boots, and now may be targeted by the LGBTQ turkey hunting crowd. Damn, that's a real strange mental picture, a LGBTQ group of turkey hunters. It doesn't make them bad people, just different, really different! As a positive aside, we are only 6 months out from spring turkey season.

I'm not sure how to read this. Is it tongue in cheek or am I getting a spanking?

And you learned a few things about the blockbuster movie about gay cowpokes. I mean cowboys.

Bought myself the Salamon GTX 4’a and have worn them everyday for the last 5-6 months and love them
Along these lines I am a huge fan of the Merrell Chameleon Stretch Waterproof think I've been wearing a pair gosh 8 years or so.... I've had different versions need a pair....

I've looked at the Salamons, North Face but the chameleon are lighter...

I had a gore pair once but their waterproofing is pretty good

With my condition they are amazing like you have no show/boot on but durable traction

How do the sizes run on the Crispi boots? True? Small larger?

Lightweight hunting boots

Post by WV Ridge Reaper »

Man when this thread started I was wearing pair of Solomon’s..Great boot and I’d recommend to anyone!! I put a lot of miles on those things..But they finally started giving out on me last year.

At that point I bought a pair of Crispi attvias..Never got to really hunt em hard as the days was about over..I started with them this year and after some very wet conditions and my feet staying dry along with them getting wet and broke in I feel in love with them..

Mid way threw the seasons this year crispi released a new boot called the altuide..I had to treat my self or spoil my self one..But I started wearing those on the days I didn’t wear the attivas…I’m very happy with my boots and I will in the next week or so clean the boots and treat them like they are supposed to be…You gotta take care of things

With that being said I’m a fan boy of crispi now but if I ever have a issue with them and it’s not resolve how I think it should be handle I will go back to a Solomon in a heart beat.

As far as sizing I think the crispis are very true to size

Crispi simply just did not work for me, seemed one boot was bigger than the other? I burned through a pair of Saloman's in 6-7 months, they were nice initially, they did warranty them. Replaced with their trail runner which has been good.

Asolo have been my favorite so far. Mixed results with Merrel, good fit but durability was an issue on one pair but not another.

Ever have your feet measured to see if one’s longer?

"Ever have your feet measured to see if one’s longer?"

Yep, and it was backwards, the bigger foot the boot fit loose and gave me blisters. Every boot I have ever had has been the same size that have worked for me. maybe a different size Crispi would work but I don't need to wear Crispi, lots of good boots out there!

Tried several aftermarket insoles in them to make em work, I knew better than to buy boots I can not try on first!

Crispi is the only boot I have ever had that issue with so I am one and done with them.

I really like these boots, they are the lightest boots I have..lighter than the lightest Crispi or Kenetrek - I have those as well.
