I’m probably going to catch it over this but,,,,
I don’t like the smaller Havalons because the frame that holds the blades in are to long and big,gets in the way of cutting stuff...
Their filet knife is ok kinda.

I have and use a Havalon. It is terrifyingly sharp.

My favorite though is a Case Mini Finn hunter fixed blade. Perfect size for nearly all tasks spring or fall.

Knives are like guns and turkey calls, I'm glad I don't have to pick just one.

hookedspur, I agree on the Havalon. I don't have much use for it outside of caping euro mounts. For skinning, I prefer a Gerber Gator II or Outdoor Edge Dark Timber Combo/Swing Blaze.

I got this one last year and so far I like it. I won't go without a gut hook.

I have a fascination w/knives which goes back to my days in the Boy Scouts and have a lot of custom hand-made blades and knives, but I never go into the woods or backcountry without a Victorinox Hunter in my pack. Any of the Hunter versions contain a main locking blade, a gut-hook, a saw, and depending on the knife, a bottle opener, a can opener, wire stripper, tweezers, etc. A single blade knife is great, but at some time the blade will be used/abused for a task best accomplished by another tool designed expressly for that job. When I get my dressed deer/elk home, I have access to a myriad assortment of speciality knives and saws to process the game, but in the field I carry my pocket sized Victorinox and one of the small/short handled Gerber/Fiskars hatchets honed to a very sharp edge. As an aside, if you ever get access to a Cold Steel Canadian Belt Hunter which is a very affordable poly-handled stainless blade w/ a nylon sheath which will hold a razor edge/ Buy It!

Mora high carbon isnt pretty gets super sharp fast. I don't cry losing a ten dollar knife

Spyderco Bill Moran has been on me more often than not since about '07. Haven't had to finish a gobbler with it since switching to TSS.

I have been carrying the same BuckLite folder since it came to commemorate Desert Storm.

It is brown camo as is cordura belt carrying case. I can't even begin to count how

I love my case trapper floding knife I've had it 30 years blade is still super sharp.

Have a bunch of knives. Alot of them handmade and used for special purposes. But for overall utility I am another Mora fan. Just cant beat em.

Compact size,super super sharp,east of blade change..I carry the knife and one extra blade in my vest at all times
