Heading to Texas in April. What are the most needed items that most people tend to not think about? Thanks in advance for any help.

I would definitely bring a seat. Those rocks aren’t fun to sit on

As for something to sit on, don't bring something that inflates. You can't begin to imagine the number of thorns growing in TX. They will penetrate and flatten truck tires. Gil

Snake boots are for wussies. I've hunted Texas dozens of times and only been hit by one measly rattlesnake. ;0 But do bring the thinnest, coolest camo you can find. And Gil is spot on with the recommendation for a non-inflatable cushion. Get a closed foam pad instead.

Sound advice. A small pair of binos could prove very useful too.
Beyond that, it's turkey hunting.

Everything there has a sticker in it. Don’t put your hands or knees on the ground if you can help it. Give the prickly pear a wide birth if you going into south Texas.

The private ranch we hunted this century had a couple of 1985 Toyota pick-ups (red, of course)-- tough little GOATs. Each had a puncture plug kit and 12 volt pump with instructions how to repair the tires and warnings not to drive over cactus or mesquite. Gil
