Chip or Dale, That is the Question

Chip or Dale, That is the Question

I’ve caught glimpses of this little dude/duddette & it finally let me get a couple of pics.
I think chipmunks are pretty cool little critters so will try to “tame” this 1 by leaving a
few pistachio nuts every day.

You see them around here, but usually not very long. I know they love sunflower seeds.

They do! Two years in a row I've tried planting sunflowers for my wife, and the day after they begin to sprout I find holes in the dirt. Last year out of a couple dozen, two made it to 12 inches or so, and watched the rabbit chew them over, then leave without eating the plant.

I always liked them. I see quite a few of them here. I think I saw more in Colorado. I almost killed a young one with my weed eater last week while mowing one of the few yards that I mow. I saw stripes move a few feet away just under my trimmer and stepped back thinking snake before I realized what was hiding in the grass. I'm glad I didn't kill the cute little thing.

Cute or not, they are on my hit list. Chipmunks, gophers and coyotes get shot on sight. Pellet gun for the first two and .22-250 for the latter.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
