Are There Any Eagles Fans Here?

This past Sunday, I watched a couple of Eagles concerts. The 1st was “Hell Freezes Over”
& the 2nd “Eagles Farewell 1 Tour Live in Melbourne 2004.”

They were schedule to go into the studio on 09/11 but, for obvious reasons, they didn’t.
They did start writing a new song that evening, “There’s a Hole in the World.” They
performed it in the Melbourne concert in 5 part harmony with very little musical
accompaniment. This was the 1st time I heard it & it is very touching.

Take 4 minutes to watch/listen. It is well worth the time. I have to admit that it did/does
choke me up. I remember exactly where I was when the news broke.

Big Eagles fan here. Joe Walsh cracks me up. I loved him on the Drew Carey show. One of my favorites is when he answered the sprayer in the sink and was talking to what he thought was Drew, but it was the answering machine. :LMAO:

He is definitely a hoot!! I also enjoyed him on the DCS. When they came out with Hotel California, my 1st thought
was: "That's Joe Walsh!!" I 1st heard him with The James Gang. He was "The Clown Prince of Rock." His birth
name was Joseph Fidler. I have a CD went he was on his own. Pretty good stuff.

I have the URLs for the 2 concerts if you have a total of about 5 hours to watch. I was disappointed that they didn't
do 7 Bridges Road. The harmonies are great.

Didja watch the video?

I like the Eagles. On our way home from our vacation to Phoenix we stopped in Winslow, Az! We were “Standin’ on a corner in Winslow, Az. Such a fine sight to see!”
I really like When Hell Freezes Over!

I remember him saying he had only been drunk once in his life. And it lasted 27 years.

Snagged two tickets to the Hell Freezes Over tour way back when, and it was an awesome show. Big Don Henley fan.

Did you actually stand by the sign? It would be cool to get a pic with the sign.

I saw them back in the '70s when they played Tampa Stadium, pre-Joe. If memory serves, it was
before they really made it big. I think they were also at least a part of Linda Ronstadt's back-up
band, The Stone Ponies. She was the lead for the Ponies when they 1st started.

Thank you so much. I'm obviously not the Eagles fan I thought I was, don't think I've ever heard that song.

A lot might disagree, but while I love everything they have done, including all the hits. My favorite song is Those Shoes.

Walsh on guitar, Henley on vocals and all the instrumentals that we have come to love. While I love and prefer the original album version, this is a nice live rendition.

My vote for an Eagles favorite is Henley's "The Last Resort" off the Hotel California album. Its never far from my mind when I hunt big tracts of public land and find drilling, mining and logging.

Last Resort is a great tune. That one stays on my juke box forever. Never taking it off! I have a 45 rpm jukebox in my recroom. Great fun!
