Brice was talkin bout Blue Thunders today, and got tickled cause I was putting these on today. I guess I just like blue things.
Don't know if we have any Hot Rodders out there, but thought I'd give ya'll a glimpse, cause they will be covered for the rest of their life,... LOL.

Re: Blue Thunder
So they claimed!
You would have to sell 3000 lbs with a clear profit of 10 bucks per lb to buy a vette
I can remember the first time I bought tss and paid 60 a lb and paid shipping. Talk about feeling ripped off when I bought it from Tommy for 47
Them blue rockers add ore rear horsepower than the orange ones

Re: Blue Thunder
Yes Sir, you know it!!
Installed a big cam in it recently. .551 lift, 305 ad duration, 108 lobe sep, full roller. Found out the hard way, the factory rockers only have .550 travel.
Still tuning the computer. Still not running right yet, but we will get. Probably gonna wish I would have left it alone before it's over!

Re: Blue Thunder
I am thinking about putting a lift kit on the passenger side of my high Toyota pickup so the drivers side leans down and I can get in it easier, getting to old to jump up and in anymore

Re: Blue Thunder
I built a 340 Mopar engine several years ago and put it down in a 72 Dodge Dart, the cam I put in it was 494 lift 294 duration and I ended up having to run a 2000 stall converter, it ran like a raped ape for a small block but like a buddy of mine use to say "there's no substitute for cubic inches" (he loved his big blocks).Shooter wrote: ↑October 19th, 2017, 10:48 amYes Sir, you know it!!

Re: Blue Thunder
Always wanted to do a 340 build. That has to be the most under rated engine for performance that's ever been!! Love that engine!

Re: Blue Thunder
Yea Tommy im an old hot rodder lolol, had a 69 camaro with a
hot tanked and rebuilt 400 small block in it and was hell on wheels. Then the
2 loves of my life came along,a honey from long island, and a 71 Chevelle SS.
Ripped the motor out and had it hot tanked then rebuilt with 12.5 pistons and a
comp cam similar to yours, put a 6 point roll cage in and wanted to narrow rear end,
with plans of a stacked fuel injection out of the hood
i don't have either now
MY favorite video on you tube is type it in
Blown chevelle at the icc, watching it now,2500 horse chevelle
Wait till ya hear this bitch TURN UP THE VOLUME

Love the sound of a roller cam, Shooter!!! Also, you guys are correct about the 340 dodge, it can be mean! Personally, I wouldn't own a Dodge. Sorry, Stan Potts.

Re: Blue Thunder
SS headers are going on next week. Already had Cat back Corsas on it. I just hope it's not too loud.
Ricky's buddy in VA has been tuning the computer. Finally have something that is drivable. Found a plug wire off while I was doing the rockers.
No wonder it was running like crap, and Willie was having so much trouble tuning it. Still ran a 114 Quarter. Ain't ran the quarter since I fixed that problem. Just happy it's running right now.
