pine ridge double merriam

me and a friend got to chadron, ne sunday evening and fooled with some birds monday and tuesday but had the luck on tuesday evening a true double for us.
mine 21.5 lbs 9 inch beard and 1 3/16 spurs, daves 18.5 lbs 8 inch beard and 1 inch spurs.

Great bird. Congrats. You probably had some tough weather to deal with. We drove through Chadron on Wednesday grabbed coffee and filled up with gas. It was all I could do to not stay for a few days.

How were the bird numbers? We should be there over Memorial Day weekend.

we did see birds and hear some. but with the wind blowing around 30 mph every day it was hard to hear them. it seems like its real early there for turkey action. gobblers together jakes bunched up, hens together. the one i killed had 2 hens the afternoon before and the afternoon i killed him he had 1. last of the month should be the time....
