Camping

Post by Hobbes_mobile »

We camped a few days in the mountains with the used camper we bought a week or so ago. We brought Finn along with us and did a couple short hikes.

What's the track or whatever? We had various campers over the years and I miss them. Great pictures as usual. Finn is impressive.

Simply gorgeous, Shane.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I brought a elk leg bone home from SoDak. Hopefully I can use it for a Bowie knife handle.

Weather here this week is good for camping. No humidity

We set a tent up the first night to get a spot and I didn't have the temporary tags for the camper yet. We left it up thinking one of my boys may come up but they never did.

It's 96 here right now, I just finished mowing a yard, and my allergies are cranking. I'm not a big fan of hot summers. It was 28 Friday morning at the campsite and everything was covered in frost.

Much of this 96 crap and the state will be on fire, literally.

Why can't the boys sleep in the camper

This camper has a queen and a table that turns into a bed. No way in heck my 6'3" 18 year old is fitting on that table. I think my granddaughter is the only one that could fit on that bed. Yes.....that was intentional. :)
Interior.png
I actually wanted one that was a hair bigger that had a couch and the queen had a bunk over the top so it would be better for hunting trips but my wife wanted the walk around bed. I needed to stay in the 18 to 20 ft range for the half ton. We ended up at 19.

Over several years of campers/camping the two things necessary are a full size bathroom and a permanent bed. Several 18 footers will fill the bill. For anyone looking spend the time to look used. A new camper looses 40% when driven off the lot. Good luck.

The full bathroom was another of my wife's requirements. I didn't disagree, but I have nightmares of the movie RV at the dump station.

No fishing. The little river there has some fish but it's tough to fish especially when flows are up like now. I saw some guys fishing but that's as close as I got to fishing.
