Yikes! Lil' Yildie Strikes
2 year-old bird, small, non-agricultural swamp bird shot in adjacent burned pine flat this morning. First bird with the Yildiz .410. 13/16 oz. tss 9's. Entire rig weight 3 lbs., 9 oz. as seen. 10 minute hunt 845 a.m. Struck him up on the way out of the woods with wingbone; closed with diaphragm.

Here's yesterday's bird with the depicted wingbone on a lanyard which is actually a soft mouth call pouch on a lanyard. On it are strung a tritium illuminated compass which stays on the lanyard for use when it is pitch dark and the other compass is a wrist Suunto which is a fine compass. It is the old self-illuminated type that doesn't self-illuminate very well. It has an adjustable bezel for sighting azimuth which is handy. It sits over my ghillie top. Other than what you see there, I carry a slate and a few strikers. I believe in going light.
