I looked at an 870 410 today. $450. Not in my zone at that price.

My best friend has an original 1100 (70s-80s model) in .410, in about 98% condition. I've been trying to talk him out of it for several yrs now with no luck at all, he won't even give me a price.

Aren't the franchi just a 2 3/4 chamber?

That's not a problem as 99.99%of 28gauge guns and ammo are 2 3/4".

Me that way. I was jus under assumption I would want a 3" chamber in a 20? Idk that ever held but 2 20gauges in my life ever. Always was taught need a 12. But after seeing some of these boys shooting here and my buddy to a 20 would do just fine

No offence taken. If you're choosing a 20 take advantage of the 3". We load 1 7/8 oz tungsten in those which is crazy big-and deadly. I love my 20's and only shoot 3" at turkey. However, the point was about a 28 gauge and 3" chambers. By this time of the season I'm packing a little 5 lb 28 gauge double.

Well with you mentioning that may I ask you your 28ga thoughts? Cause I've been talking with My buddy and tossing the 28ga idea Around to I'm Split between them
2. I'd like to have atleast a 50 yard gun for coyote Purposes not so much a turkey. Would a 28 be capable or would a 20 be a better choice?

Also I've never saw a 28 gauge gun or shell!!!! I Mean never ever. So I'm needing your honest thoughts please Doc.
