Dropped this one with the open barrel of the Bobwhite this morning using 1.5 ounce T9’s at 30 yards.

B88, that's Clay's old gun? Looks good. Who made the sling? Gil

Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
It’s his old one. I got it from him right after last season.
It’s made by a member on OG that goes by Anobody. It’s made in whatever color combo you request from Paracord. It’s a top notch sling. I’ve been using Claws for years and this one has been swapped to whatever turkey gun I’m carrying that day for the last 3 years. It’s more comfortable to me and weighs next to nothing.
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
My yildiz O/U 410 spoke this morning. Hal's 7/8 oz load of 10s at 30 yards hit him like a freight train.
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
Sorry about the duplicates and rotation. New to this site.
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
Mike, whatcha you doing with two barrels?? Nice bird. Steve, you've abandoned your single-shot for two barrels, too. If two birds come in you can always reload and shoot again with the single shot. Gil
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
Gil,
I am always playing with something new. I haven't abandoned the single barrel in anyway. I love that little gun. I picked up the last yildiz 410 o/u my academy had in stock last summer, so I worked it up and had to kill something with it.
BTW, where is that single shot yildiz 12 gauge you were working on??
Hope your season keeps going well!
Mike

Thanks Rob,
Hope all is well and season is going good. I'm taking the 28 out tomorrow for a spin...
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
Hey Mike,
All is well. Hunted a few days in Tn killed 2 with the 12ga. Plan to hunt with 410 & 28 in KY if I can leave the 2oz loads at home.
Let us know how you do with the 28.
Hope all is well buddy. Stay healthy and God bless.

Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
Rob,
If you leave the 12 gauge in the safe, then you increase your odds of killing with the 410 and the 28! ; ) I love you 12 gauges as well and my 2oz load is evil, but it will never be able to match the fun I am having with the little guns.
Take care,
Mike
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
38 yards and Hal's 1 3/8 oz load of 9.5s did the trick this morning.
