Mossberg SA 28ga. Pattern with IC .520 and Trulock .515

Done a little testing all week with this gun found the load and shot it in different chokes settled on the .520 Indian Creek compared to the .525 IC so I decided to shoot the Trulock .515 3 step to see the difference between the two. My particular gun hates 9.5 and I’m glad it worked out because I didn’t want to shoot 9.5 or 10 to hit numbers.

I know right. The magical .515 is blowing the pattern bad.

IC .520 has patterned the best for me in every 28ga I’ve set up…. I’m not a fan of the 9.5s either.

I'm glad to hear 9.5's don't work for someone besides me, because I've tried them in every combo I can think of and they just splatter all over the paper.

I've yet to see a bad pattern from an IC 520

I ordered the .505 kicks. Being that tight might blow the pattern. But we will see.

I went with kick cause everyone else is going Indian creek and I shot indian creek years ago out of my 935 and it didn’t pattern as good as the jelly head or kicks. Kicks is what I’ve stuck with cause I like the holes instead of the long slits. Hopefully this one in the 28 does good. I’ll keep ya posted.

I use kicks in all of my guns also. I have always been very happy with the patterns
