Tristar upland hunter NWTF camo

Post by tracker8320 »

Just picked one up and wondering if anyone else on here owns one. If so, what chokes are you liking and loads ? Also wondering what the 5 chokes that come with ID inside diameters are. Having a hard time finding information, thanks...

Buy a cheap set of calipers and measure them, there is no way to know without measuring them.

Called Tristar, they gave me specs for ID of the 5 chokes that come with the gun. I have better-extended mobile chokes that I'm running on my Stevens 555. Now to the range to compare guns. I was looking for the gun for a while. Found it in a Cabelas gun library and heard good things about the gun. Just wondering what others are using in this gun. Not crazy about the "hollow" stock...feels cheap, but wasn't...lol

I have a standard Tristar hunter, not the camo NWTF version. Mine is dedicated turkey gun so cant comment on other uses. I put an IC 555 in bottom barrel (TSS) and a Carlsons Light modified or modified in the top (Lead only). Venom red dot sight. Its a neat little gun, easy to carry and handles and fits me well. No mechanical issues and it patterns well.
