Beretta A303
Beretta A303
I have a beretta A303 20 gauge 3” magnumI bought 4 years ago. It’s basically been a safe Queen. Any reason I couldn’t shoot TSS through this gun?I think it is about 30 + years old, but has mobile choke system, so I think it is new enough that everything should be build to withstand steel down the barrel and heavy enough receiver to handle a 3” turkey load. Unless I’m missing something, I think I’m going to put this gun to work.
Re: Beretta A303
I’ve been shooting 3 inch tss through a 30 year old Benelli super 90 20 ga
for 4 years now. Have had no problems, but I did install a Wolf heavy recoil spring.

Re: Beretta A303
Is that a gas or inertia gun? Is the heavy recoil spring just precautionary or specifically needed with these heavier loads?DD wrote:I’ve been shooting 3 inch tss through a 30 year old Benelli super 90 20 ga

Thanks for the feedback

Got a Meadow Creek mount on the way. When an Indian Creek comes available, it will get added. Have a FF3 ready as well.

It’s an inertia gun. I did use the stock spring the first year with no problems.
I just think it takes some of the stress off of the action,..plus they are cheap and easy to install.
Is it necessary?..probably not.

Beretta A303
Carried the A3030 this week in Nebraska for first time. Dad had it as his backup gun during Arkansas and Missouri seasons. I didn’t get a turkey with it, but put this yote down that was slipping in with 2 buddies as I was calling. Couldn’t get on other two. First time to kill a yote while turkey hunting.

Re: Beretta A303
Very nice! Every time I’m out turkey hunting I’m watching for coyotes. Been a few years since I’ve shot one during turkey season
