Mossberg International 410

Post by cutt down »

I just received a little Mossberg International 410 O/U but it has fixed chokes. I'm assuming it's a mod/full. Haven't patterned it yet but was wondering if anyone has any experience with fixed choke 410's. I could send it off to have chokes threaded but with the 383 stroker 1oz loads I figure it'll throw a pretty decent pattern with 9.5's. I know the pattern board will tell the tale but I'm hoping someone on here uses or has used a fixed choke 410 with tss handloads.

Most of the time .410s run full/full

I would shoot a couple out of each barrel, you might be happy with what you see. Yes, some achieve patterns they are happy with and plenty lethal/huntable out of fixed fulls.

I shot my sons old H&R fixed full around 160’s with the Stroker 9.5’s

Never shot the 1oz Legend through it. I’ll try that later this summer. Just shoot it squeaky clean

Thanks fellas! My Tri-Star viper g2 with Jebs choke has a great pattern & is what I normally use when I use a 410 but I thought I'd give this little gun a try if it throws a decent pattern.
