TriStar Viper G2 410 trigger fix?

Post by Casey Napier »

Anybody know of a trigger spring or anything/anybody that can adjust the trigger to a lighter pull weight?

Thanks

Mcarbo has a spring kit. Same as 20 gauge Mossgerg SA. I have one on mine. Easy install

That's what I was looking for. Installed several of them on Mossbergs but did not see anything listed for the TriStar 410. I read somewhere else that the one for the 20ga would work.

Thanks

Does the Stoeger 3020 share the same trigger group as the 3000? Mcarbo site doesn't have a listing specifically for Tristar guns, but the write up for the Mossberg SA 20/28 mentions the interchangeability with the Tristar.

For some reason I think the spring in the 3020 is the same as what’s in the Benelli 12/20ga ?

Yes I had over a 6.5# trigger pull on my Viper measured with a digital trigger scale. Mcarbo spring reduced it to 4# +/- an ounce. Much better feel to the trigger. Easy to install if you watch Mcarbos video. Hope this helps.

Just got my TriStar this evening, I already had the MCARBO spring for the SA20, so while cleaning the gun I put the new spring in. Trigger pull measures 5lb. Not really happy with that, would like it around 3. I did not even measure the factory trigger pull but I did dry fire it a time or two and the MCARBO did slightly lighten the pull. Is there any body that will work on these triggers?

I am going to check tomorrow and make sure everything is right as there are two holes where the trigger pin goes through and I am pretty sure I got it right but I am gonna make sure tomorrow evening. Does anyone know which hole the pin should go through?

Thanks
Casey

What did you get your trigger down to in pull weight Bigvet?
Mine dropped from 6 to 5lbs with MCARBO spring.

Went from 6.5# to 4# +/- on my digital trigger scale. My sear surfaces were pretty smooth already. Left them alone except for greasing the contact surface. Not Timney good but better than stock. Probably had 150 rounds shot thru it already at doves, no problems so far.
