Yildiz SPZ ME 28

Post by kythunter »

Been wanting a small bore O/U for a while and finally bought a Yildiz 28 today at Academy Sports.
Sweet little gun, light and point's well. Gonna shoot hand loads, can't wait for spring.

Very nice 28.
Thanks, haven't shot it yet in the process of getting components. Gonna try factory full first then go from there. Gun has 26" barrels.

Been wanting a 28 for squirrel hunting. Not certain I’d use it much but I’m curious as to how well those things shoot in terms of POA/POI.

Nice pattern 2Shooter. How is the trigger pull on your YIldiz? I shot mine yesterday for the first time and the trigger has some creep and a little heavy.
I can live with it this season but will take it to a gun smith after turkey season. Other than that sweet little gun. Really like how light it is and low recoil.
I shot Hals BIG28 and 28XL both with 9.5's factory full top barrel 40 yards. BIG28 had a good even pattern but POI was slightly low.
Here is 28XL. The 10" count is on the back side (223/10 did count 20). This is good for now but may try another choke or 9's later. Gonna keep it simple and shoot bead.

The trigger pull had some creep, and was a little hard. He a gunsmith fix that.

Took the Yildiz 28 to a local gunsmith gonna have trigger lightened and get rid of the creep. Will shoot bottom barrel next may use it for close shots.
If the trigger gets fixed I'll be happy. Can't wait to kill a gobbler with the 28.
