Re: Mossberg 835 patterns
Dont know how to post picture but with my 20" barrel and my Indian Creek .675 it is throwing 300 plus in 10" and near 400 in 20" with Federal 3.5" 9's
Re: Mossberg 835 patterns
I had some extra TSS 9 and components laying around so I loaded a 3.5" / 2.5 oz load to play with. An original Colonial Stardot choke and my old corn cob front grip 835. This was a lasered 40 yds from a rest. POA is the black dot shown in pic. Not to far off but the pattern speaks for itself. I hunt with my 20's. Just broke this old gal out to show her some love and see what it would do. Before she retired, she sure brought home a bunch of turkeys for the fryer.

Mossberg 835
24in barrel
Kicks GT .680
Ranged 40 yds
Not perfect yet, but it will hunt. I am happy with where it is, I may mess with slitting the wads a little different, but for now I am pleased.0622191222.jpg0622191228.jpg
Re: Mossberg 835 patterns
That is rather impressive. Would you mind sharing the recipe? My lead loads are a bit lacking compared to your patterns and long beards are just too tight for closer shots.jsh909 wrote: ↑April 25th, 2021, 10:04 pm http://www.gobblernation.com/phpBB3/vie ... ilit=Today

Shot some #4 Winchester 3.5" Long Beards through my 24" barrel 835 this evening. Getting 150 to 160 in 10" at 40 yards with Indian Creek .675.

IC .675 works well with LB 5's in my 935.
Re: Mossberg 835 patterns
