Experiment failed

Post by ICDEDTURKES »

So yesterday morning I gave a squeeze behind my shoulder blades .

So yesterday afternoon my leg itched, look had a bite. Didn't give much thought.. Forgot about, I was on the phone with my buddy brushed my thigh it was tender..

Pull my shorts up see the rash, great. Shoot him a pic, he's like watch that, few hours later a little more pronounced. Send pic to Dr.. Get a call get in.. When I got the typical Covid screening at door my temp was a shade high.. She looks at it, Yep definitely the trademark rash..

Ask she's gonna draw blood she said labs closed I could send you to hospital but this early it will most likely test negative and with that rash there gonna give you the same script I'm giving you..

So what's the prognosis, Tom? Lymes?
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Same deal with me, but it was last November. Doc gave me 200 mg Doxycycline. Have had no
problems. I guess if it’s taken 24hrs after the bite it highly reduces the risk of contracting Lymes.
Doc said it was a very suspicious rash. Have had 2 other bites without a rash.

I see the problem. You used K9 Advantix for an extra large dog, you should have went with at least a medium size dog if not a small.

Seriously though. I hope it all turns out ok. I have a friend in Florida that got Lyme disease several years ago. He is all messed up now. It took a long time for them to diagnose his problem. Now he can’t hardly talk, most people can’t understand him, and what little walking he can do is with the aid of a Walker. Sad to see, he was always somebody you would look at and think dang, don’t want to cross that dude. Lyme disease is no joke!

I hate to hear that. I hope they've diagnosed it early enough that it doesn't become a problem for you.
