On one of my stone episodes they were able to break them up into smaller stones via ultra sound. It was like pissing razor blades. Gil. The good news is you only have one razor blade, at least I hope that’s all you have. Good luck, your in the home stretch now.

I know a dozen people older of course that have had both shots. Only one had the predicted reaction on the second shot and got through it with Tylenol
and a couple beers.
If I ever get the chance to take it I'm going to.

Went back to ER Sunday morning to deal with constipation. A whole bag of fluid opened up new adventures in quick-stepping. Now it's gas I'm dealing with which was noted on X-Ray. My kingdom for a rip roaring, but trustworthy, no surprises, fart. I'd waive the trustworthy, no surprises part. I also noted this morning white sand patch in strainer which means calcium oxalate and easier to deal with than ureic acid stones from what I've heard. Haven't had good night's sleep since Wednesday. Every night I've gotten up to soak at least twice in hot water which makes a difference in all stages. I'm lucky I didn't have the overlay of a bad reaction to the Pfizer second shot Friday with all else going on. My arm had no soreness nor did I suffer other reported problems. Gil

I had no idea a 4mm kidney stone weighed so much. Far denser than lead or tss. After passing it, my weight has dropped over 10 lbs. Really looking forward to the next one. Gil

I’m glad it’s over. Wait until you get a stint out in. Putting one in isn’t to bad. Having one removed is like pulling a big pine cone out of where they put it in at, and the pine cone is facing sharp side out.

My earliest turkey hunting buddy invited me to hunt quail on his managed property on Jan. 19th. We have been friends for over 50 years. I had my first Pfizer the week before. We drove to his place separately and hunted for 4 hours. It was great shooting and the dog work was fantastic. He called me on Jan. 23rd and told me that he began to feel bad the next day on the 20th and was tested positive the day before, Friday. I stopped visiting mom and kept to myself for 14 days. On Feb. 7, I was PCR negative. My buddy was hospitalized on Feb. 5th for the second time and has had fever for two weeks and was bedridden feeling awful. His O2 is low, but as of Friday, not on a ventilator but had renal failure the day before and is on dialysis. He has a lung infection that is concerning. He had been scheduled for his first shot the day after diagnosis. Any minor discomfort from the vax would have been preferable to the life threatening suffering he has endured since the day after we hunted. Gil

Prayers for your buddy, GLS...🙏
My 88 year old Mother and I had my first vaccinations on Feb17. My wife had hers the next day. All of our Shots were Moderna.
The only after effects that my wife and I felt were a sore arm.it felt like someone punched you in the shoulder. Sore muscle, that was it. My Mom didn't even have that.. We are scheduled for second shot on March 17th.
I have zero issues with.

Praying for your buddy also Gil

This dang Covid sure hits people in different ways. Had my wife's, family member get it and wife & kids are fine
I've lost a couple of friends(one hunting friend), and sure hope the vaccination takes ahold and brings it to a standstill !!

Reactions to getting the shot, seem to be similar around here and in our family also. Kinda' like "mild" to "wild" ;)

Hod the 1st shot 3 weeks ago Weds. My arm was no more sore than from any other shot. Was OK
Weds & Thurs but woke up about 5 A.M. & every muscle in my body was screaming, especially
my thighs & calves. Took 2 arthritis Tylenol, went back to bed & was fine in a couple of hours.
Should be getting #2 next week.

My friend hospitalized with complications of Covid died on March 1st and we buried him on March 5th . I posted a tribute to who he was as a man and friend on a double shotgun and hunting site the day after he died. Rather than cut and paste it, see the link below. As stated above, he was scheduled to receive his first shot the day after he tested positive. Get the shot if you can and get it asap. Gil

GIL,
Your write-up was very nicely done for Burke

Broke down when I was offered the Moderna Covid shots and both shots went well and great with very little discomfort.
Figured I'd better "bite the bullet" and get it done, with me doing all the traveling this spring and in and out of Mexico also ;)
