Re: Impeachment question and thoughts
I have no idea if this is true but it is an interesting read: https://therepublicpost.wordpress.com/2019/12/17/supreme-court-ends-pelosis-reign-of-terror-with-landmark-decision-on-impeachment/?fbclid=IwAR3QKudHVH6ITULWVTceE04LkuOvpC3RcSs-4RSS-BCubEEGxMfQ-fo2K0c None of that is true. Re: Impeachment question and thoughts
I can’t be the only conservative that thinks Trump is an absolute piece of garbage. I’m tired of watching him lie, insult women and children, and walk around like he’s some sort of gangster. I’ll vote for whoever the Democrats nominate. If Trump wins then candidates like him will become the new norm...

Re: Turkey Gun Camouflage that lasts
Boom, that’s good info. Thanks guys. Just the stuff I was looking for. Also, it’s not black chrome but I’d like to see a turkey gun come out that has been nitride treated. I bought a CVA muzzleloader with a nitride barrel for a hunt awhile back. It’s not a finish but a treatment that changes the che...

Turkey Gun Camouflage that lasts
Are there any guns with camouflage coatings that actually stand up to the abuse of a hardcore turkey hunter? I cover a lot of miles on foot every spring and take my gun out at least 30, maybe 40 days. The last 2 guns I have bought with fancy camo patterns have shown significant wear and tear after j...

Re: Fried Turkey Football
I learned a new word today. Be a cool presentation. Might do a modified one, keep both sides opened up while frying then fold it up for slicing. Be a neat smoker too

Fried Turkey Football
So last season I plucked a bird and filleted the breasts out from left to right making sure to keep everything together so it could later be wrapped and fried whole with skin on the outer surface. Well I’ve been moving that oversized freezer package back and forth too long. It’s time to make a move....

Re: Pine Goat Mount
its always cooler to have pictures of them alive! You're right about that. What's even cooler is video mode. He and the other buck in the photo above sat and sparred in front of my camera for a while. Eventually things escalated and turned south for the little buck quite quickly! https://youtu.be/z...

Re: Pine Goat Mount
SwampDrummin, They sure don't build them like that down in South Florida! Beautiful buck! That they do not. I actually went on a bow hunt on St. Vincent Island in Florida about 2 weeks ago. Those are the deer you see in old timer photos with deer slung over their shoulders, not Illinois deer. I thi...

Re: Pine Goat Mount
Beast of an 8pt. I love double throat patches. I don’t know why, they just look extra cool to me. I agree they definitely amp it up a notch.I had never thought about doing anything other than skull mounts until I got a picture of him the previous year in all his glory. He was even prettier on the h...

Pine Goat Mount
I killed this heavy horned 8 last year and just got him back from the taxidermist. What a gorgeous animal he was. I shot him on a bitter cold snowy day in Illinois, the last of 7 different bucks chasing a hot doe. He ghosted out of the woods 25 yards away into the icy crp grass I was watching. I rem...

Re: impeachment
I’m just gonna put this out there but Trump is little more than a grown child. He lies about pretty much everything and treats women piss poor. Does he need to be impeached? Well I dunno, that was all kinda out there when he got elected. But hell he brought this on by acting like he was some sort of...

IMG_7696.JPGIMG_7561.JPGIMG_7694.JPGBeen hunting Big Cypress for archery and into muzzleloader seasons. Cameras picked up several nice shooters in late July and into August for the rut. By the time the season opened we haven't seen one deer on cameras. As the NPS would allow the state game folks to...

Re: Bets on if this lasts through deer season?
I can’t eat mammal meat because of the alpha gal allergy....If an emu walked in front of me I would see it for what it was....a divine gift....and act accordingly.
Of course, I would post the pics on here as well.

Re: New Hunter New Property
Try to get as close to the gobbling turkeys as you can and call them the rest of the way. Start on the side of the river they are on. Those birds gobble pretty early, you should be able to get pretty tight before it’s light enough for them to see you. All the other terrain/habitat talk is secondary ...

Been a lot of talk of pine goats and tree sitting lately. They’re kinda fun to mess with. Check these out.
