Re: I Should Have Asked Last Week
I’ve been past Wapokeneta a million times and around Indianlake.
There was a donut spot we would stop at time to time. Seen pictures that looked like Nagasaki. All the trees had no limbs and everything blown down. Crazy
I haven’t heard how many died across the country where all it hit

Re: Turkey Hunting Public Land
Start scouting now, try and learn every little trail, path, creek crossing whatever it takes to be where that Turkey wants to be. Keep in mind mid mornings and later after the "masses of asses" have left, less is often more when it comes to calling on Public including types of calls i.e.-...

Re: Turkey Hunting Public Land
What he said AND: be the first one to your parking spot and respect the hunter there before you by moving on. Other hunters will not practice the same but they should. When you are the first one there, hunt like you are the only one there but defensively. What that means is never stalk turkey sound...

Be prepared for every other hunter to try and cut you off. Because they will. You have to be almost ninja like and move in closer to try and seal the deal before someone messes you up

Re: Most productive box call
The one I accidentally crushed in my truck door :banghead: Found it while hunting public ground in NY about 30 yrs ago. Had an Ol Timer inform me it was a Ben Lee twin hen, that call screamed turkey. It was a slow motion tragedy, as I slammed the door I watched that precious piece of Sacredness be ...
