That doesn't bother me in the least. That looks like Italian Roast Elk to me. Some toasted bread and cheese and your set!

Re: Crunch Wrap Bacon Cheeseburger
The five that I've eaten, 3 of mine and 2 of my boys', have all been excellent. I prefer it over deer especially mule deer. I like to add fat for better burgers.ICDEDTURKES wrote: ↑February 14th, 2023, 7:34 pm Looks awesome....I've only eaten antelope as breakfast sausage....

Re: 1187 MO Greenleaf
Thanks for the info Craig. I'll run some ammo through it in a couple weeks. If we were driving east instead of flying, I'd take it and run a lot of ammo through it.

Re: Vests
Just recieved my Sitka vest in the mail todsy. Its about as close to near perfect minimalist vest Ive ever seen. Going to run a water bladder for the first time. So it’ll be interesting to see how that stacks up versus multiple water bottles. Id prefer it in a Bottomland color..thats the only knock...

Re: M.O. Mr. Fox Vest
I’m holding out for when the Fox Trot vest comes out. I hope it at least has a bologna sandwich specific pocket. I have a hard time cramming a square sandwich into an over abundance of pot call pockets. Here you go... Haha!!! Perfect. I mostly just don't like all the pot call pockets, but no...

Re: Muzzleloading turkeys-Huntsman
Nice!! Thanks for the details on your loading.
I've still not worked up a load for my dad's TC Tree Hawk but maybe I'll get around to it this year. I bought the components that I researched but it stopped there.

Re: Vests
I've not been through a lot of vests. I started with a vest I'm the early 90s that I still have in storage then used the original NWTF Super Elite (I think) from the mid to late 90s through 2014. I still break it out and use it if I hunt with both of my boys so they can use the two Cabela's Tatr's t...

Re: 1187 MO Greenleaf
At one time Preston Pittman was affiliated with Highlander Sports of Alabama, maker of the original Star Dots, and there may be association w/ Mark Bansner's Truglow Strut Stopper choke tubes. I'd be interested in how the .660 choke patterns and any information on the tube. Good possibility that in...

Re: 1187 MO Greenleaf
You did well for the price for sure. Most all of them are going to have some wear on the receiver if they have been used. I just hate to see that surface rust on the inside, my dad would just about kill me growing up if I didn't properly maintain a firearm and it has stuck with me ever since ha it ...

Re: 1187 MO Greenleaf
I would sell that heavy old pig and buy a nice light Italian 20ga. But that's just me, I always hated Remingtons, heavy and bulky too me. We had one back in the day at the shop and couldn't give it away, too bad I didn't grab it but I definitely didn't want it anyway...lol I do love the green leaf!...

Oh, I forgot to mention. Someone needs to come to MT and be my chauffeur through turkey season. That cash was supposed to be set aside and go towards new tires for my truck and my current tires are at the end of their life. I may let you kill one bird..... maybe. You can at least carry my birds to t...

1187 MO Greenleaf
If you read my price check thread, you know that I picked up a 12 ga.Remington 1187 Special Purpose Turkey in M.O. Greenleaf that was on the used shelf here locally. You just don't see turkey guns here very often so I'm still wondering who owned it. I haven't searched and searched for one of these s...

Damn! Guess if I find something like that, I won't post it on here till I've already bought it. Then ask! Keep your enemies close and your friends closer! :dontknow: I think I knew that I was asking for that when I posted, especially afterwards, so not a big deal. I knew when I looked the first tim...
