Re: 410 Stevens 301 Chokes

Jethro15 wrote: March 27th, 2024, 6:56 pm Hey guys, I know it’s a long shot, but does anyone have a Modified and/or Full choke for a Stevens 301 in 410. I bought one for my girls and would like to let them use it for squirrels, doves, and possibly some waterfowl water swatting. Thanks. AJ.
Trulock carries these.

Re: Venom vs Burris ff3 vs Holosun 407c

Snood you may have an astigmatism which makes the red seem starburst. The first red dot I got was the Vortex Venom. I had issues with getting sight to move. But I was told to move the dot all the way right then left. I did that and got it all sighted in. Hunted with it two years now. I also have a ...

What about a meadow creek rib mount? I love mine on my O/U. It really takes the need out of drilling and tapping. I put hundreds of rounds through mine.

Re: 350 Legend

I love mine! My kids love the low recoil. Everywhere I hunt is 100 yards or less with shots and it has dropped them every time at that range. I use the 150gr Winchester XPs as well. There was a comparison video on the different grains and if I recall the 150g did the best.

I haven’t seen one shot out of those rectifiers that are impressive. That would be much better with just about anything else.

Do you make youth sizes? I have a narrow pallet and those are the only ones that fit me.

Re: Vests

I love my RNG 300. Couldn’t ask for anything else without out it being bulky. I’m a thinner guy at 165-170lbs and most vests are baggy on me and that drives me crazy. The RNG fits super nice and pocket placement is great.

I’ve held it in the store and was impressed. I liked it a lot. No need to D/T if you use a meadow creek. It was nice and light.

I’m still going to play around some more with lead loads but I might just stick with TSS in both.

Here’s that .601 with TSS. Big difference between .591 and .601

Re: More Yildiz O/U testing

A friend is raving about the new Winchester Western, high antimony, 8%, Diamond Grade 20 gauge, 2 3/4", 1 oz., 1250 fps shot shells. The harder shot exhibits very little deformation even when choked down and is his "new" shell for his side by side open barrel which produces a 10"...

Re: More Yildiz O/U testing

Have no fear about shooting a dove load inside 30 yds. A heavy trap or sporting clays load would be even better, as it will contain higher quality shot. As long as you have at least 100 in 10" you will have a dead turkey every time. Well that’s reassuring. The joy with the O/U is the TSS will ...

I tried a couple Remington Shurshot heavy dove loads today and the 7.5 patterned well 1oz, 2 3/4”, #6s and #7.5. I shot them off hand at 25 yards Just not sure if it’s safe to shoot a dove load at 30 yards and less. The 6s weren’t too bad either. https://i.imgur.com/wVF5gcZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/j...

Re: More Yildiz O/U testing

For your "open choked" barrel and shots under 30 yards, try a load of Winchester Sporting Clays, 20 gauge ,2 3/4", 7/8 oz., 7 1/2 shot at 1,300 fps. Plenty of pellets and energy w/ a great 20" pattern out of a .590 choke tube. I’ll give it a whirl. I tried some #5 Remington game...

Yeah I understand! I was thinking the same. It’ll look goofy for sure because the Trulock is so much shorter lol.
