Try a bronze brush and “screw” it into the gun from the muzzle to just past the threads and clean the threads good. Do it several times in and out, just like you are installing the choke tube. If there is any junk or machine marks, it might smooth em out…

Went a little darker. Midnight burnt bronze on my 870. My cerakote guy custom mixed to match the darker brown in the Mossy Oak on the little Stevens 301. I kinda like em both.

I would guess it takes the Win Choke tubes which are also interchangeable with Browning Invector, Mossberg 500, Savage and Stevens. Should be able to find them about anywhere.

They are nice stocks, but the dense wood plies make them heavy….

Mine started out as a plain Jane 20 gauge with a 26” barrel….added 21” youth barrel, shur shot stocks dipped in real tree,…sumtoy .562 choke. Apex Ninja shells, cerakoted in midnight burnt bronze. Has a Vortex Viper red dot in a Burris protector.

May be over your budget but I have replaced a couple scopes with Zeiss Conquest 3-12X44. They are excellent and have 30mm tubes. Wish I could get another one…..
