Re: SA 28
Shot at 25 and 40 yards, I prefer the .525 because of the slight advantage of wiggle room up close. Both will knock the snot out of em at 40.

That gun in 28 gauge, a pound lighter and double triggers would be my dream gun.

As MFL205 stated, this is not a 200+ yard gun. But in the woodlots and fields of traditionally shotgun only areas this caliber shines.

Re: 350 Legend
The 350 is bad medicine for deer and coyotes. In my opinion the best straight wall cartridge, especially in the 150 grain Winchester ammo.

Re: Mossberg SA 28ga optic?
I have the Meadow Creek rib mount on my SA-28. I really like it out in front of me. I have a receiver mounted red dot on my 1300 and prefer the rib mount.

Re: 28 gauge with Carlson's .526 choke pattern.
.505 seems crazy tight for a stock choke. Made me go measure my factory full for my SA-28 and it was .530, right where I thought it would be.

Re: Recently Completed Boxes
The osage and sassafras leans towards the old hen sound, plays easy. My catalpa is now dry enough and I've got a couple blanks sitting on the table saw to cut this week.
