Re: Beretta A300 Turkey 20 gauge
I have one and it's a nice gun. Put a red dot on it on a Meadow Creek mount to test out that type mount. It shoots well, absorbs a bit more recoil than my M2's (as expected). Decided to use it for waterfowl and other purposes since I have other turkey guns. I ordered a SA-28 tactical turkey for anot...

Re: Mossberg SA-20 Tactical Turkey Feedback?
Had the sa-28 compact and it shot great patterns, but I wanted the tactical turkey so I sold it and bought the tactical. Should be here Friday...can't wait to try it out!

Re: ISO 28ga. patterns with 1-3/8oz laod
I was using 1 3/8 or 1 3/16 in my Stevens 555 28ga with an IC .520. Great patterns and a little less recoil in that light O/U.

I have the trulock .585 in my m2 and a300 and I like the patterns with tss. I have no need for 300 pellets in the 10. A more forgiving pattern is much better in my opinion.

Re: Mossberg SA-28 Pattern Test
I wonder how a 1oz load of 9s, 9 1/2s or 10s would do in the SA28? That would likely work well at 40yds. My SA-28 compact shoots great patterns with 1 3/8 oz handloads. I haven't tried any lighter loads, but I'm sure with the right choke they would work well at 40 or so yds. Dave

Re: SA28 full size stock
Ended up going with a Limbsaver slip-on pad for now. The small fits like a glove and adds an inch or more to the length of pull.

And definitely look at the SA-28 Tactical Turkey. Check the recent posts on the forum to see the patterns they throw! If you want one of those check out the price on Kentucky Gun Company.

Re: Opinions on 20g - Franchi Affinity 3 or Mossberg SA20 Tactical Turkey? Other?
I've owned 3 of the Franchi's, 3 Tristar's and 1 Mossberg SA-28. All of those guns functioned flawlessly. I would also consider the Stoeger 3020 either the latest version or the old one (check Euro Optic for the best price on those). Don't hesitate buying a 28ga. They pattern very much like a 20ga o...

Re: SA28 full size stock
Check out the Beartooth Products neoprene stock extension. On the couple which I have mounted for fiends, both wanted to use their compact shotguns for doves, after we determined the proper length, I glued the pads together w/ contact cement and taped the pad on w/ a Coban style removable tape. I'l...

Re: SA28 full size stock
For me, the attraction of the compact gun was mostly for the short barrel. The short length of pull could work for most turkey hunting situations, but I'd like to use the gun for rabbits and maybe waterfowl. A 14"+ length of pull is short for me, but that would work much better.

SA28 full size stock
Anybody know where to find a full size stock for a SA28? I bought the compact model and I would really like a longer stock for all purpose use. I'm 6'4" so the added length of pull would be nice. I would consider a trade if anyone would be interested. My gun has the black stock and it's like ne...

Mine patterns very well with an IC .525 and 1 3/8 or 1 5/16 of 9's. Great patterning guns!
