Re: Here we go again
Anything from David will get the job done , and the same for Paul's calls . Mr Albert builds a dang good one . I like his pocket calls best . And they are smaller alot like David's calls . I have a Remu from Australia mr Albert made that sings ! David's Sappele box from 2023 is a strong contender , ...

Re: Over Under VS Semi Dove Guns
Pros of the O/U are I shoot less shells , I shoot it as good or better slightly than all the Semi Autos . Cons are you will spend more time looking for birds with a break action as you have to look down to reload , that split second will add 15 seconds plus to recovery of each bird . And seconds cou...

I killed my first 20 Ga single season grand slam in 2012 shooting a Remy 11-87 , sumtoy choke and Federal HW #7 's . Before that I had killed 10 or so eastern and 3 or 4 Osceolas since 2012 I have killed maybe 6 total turkeys with a 12 ga all hevishot #7's and mag blend . In 2015 I killed my 100th l...

Re: Busting the Roost
As Ben Roger's Lee once told me and I surely stuck with me . The difference between to close and to far is one step ! And as for accuracy he also told me one series of yelps to a turkey sitting in a hole 6 foot wide x 6 foot deep in the middle of a 200 acre field and you could expect him to walk up ...

My first custom trumpet came from Lee Chadwick ( Misfire ) 20 + years ago . It started a long friendship. Not only is Lee a nut he does build a good looking call and it will play well for most people . I had no less than 3 people at Nationals come by and ask where they could get a good trumpet. I'm ...

If you could stand a 2 to 3 year wait I would most certainly do a Lamar Williams box in any wood he offered . If you get picky it could take 5 + years to get a call . But it would be worth the wait for sure ! I have a couple from him ( couple Dozen ... lol ) and know they are quality , but everyone ...

Tube or short box .
Tube call is a good but harder , but seems to work better on turkeys for me .
I'm like Cuz Strickland , I dont leave home without a tube call . My Favorites are a Ron Clough Tower of power and a Matt McClain full size tube call .

110 degrees real feel on the gulf fishing 3 weeks ago .
86 now with a 100 real feel and only 71 % humidity in south Ga back at the house now .
Shoot the water temp was 87 degrees I'm Mexico beach then ....
This would severely limit my hunting for sure , I ain't as mad at them as I used to be !

Your local sporting Clay's club or skeet club usually has a resident gunsmith . They are usually the most qualified to do trigger work as all the sporting clay guys are trigger snobs .... myself included !!!!
I like them 3 lbs or so ....and 4 on the semiautomatics . .
