Re: #664 Dixon ebay

I’m still rock’n my old 10X vest from the early 90s.
It too could use some better straps, already has a few patches.

Re: 20 ga 1100 TSS

I agree, Shooter did state in an 4/24/17 post that the original Hot Rod load
was about 13k psi and that Apex was going to tone it down to 12k. I have never
fired one but have been told they do thump for a lighter load.

Re: 20 ga 1100 TSS

Can’t give you a yes or no answer, but have wondered the same thing. My LT-20 cycles 3/4, 7/8, and 1 ounce loads flawlessly. I load tss/lead duplex loads for upland birds and lead for doves, never a problem. Without any gas port regulation I am afraid to load anything heavier than that. It’s the bes...

Nice set up but way overkill, the gun is not what harvests the bird!
Good luck though!

Re: Weak spring Benelli

Mine is clean, I swapped it out when I started shooting heavy tss loads. Didn’t want to beat it up too bad.
It’s my designated turkey gun now. It won’t eject 7/8 oz loads now but is easy to change it back if wanted.
Also no chance of the dreaded Benelli click now!

I have the same gun. Replaced the spring with a Wolff heavy spring.
Works great.

Re: Experiment failed

Same deal with me, but it was last November. Doc gave me 200 mg Doxycycline. Have had no
problems. I guess if it’s taken 24hrs after the bite it highly reduces the risk of contracting Lymes.
Doc said it was a very suspicious rash. Have had 2 other bites without a rash.

Re: Tss shell to shell inconsistency ?

Wow, those do look shallow and weak. That’s a factory load?
I roll mine down deeper than that with no rattle. Shot to shot
consistency is good. Took awhile to find the right combination,
but very happy with the end result.

Re: Tss shell to shell inconsistency ?

I bought some 20ga Federal tss a few years ago. Patterns were good but inconsistent. Noticed excessive rattle and powder migration, some 1/3 of the way up the wad. This will be my 3rd year hand loading, and after finding the right combination my patterns are very consistent. I cut open the Federals ...

Re: Haunted Outdoors patterning 410

Got you, I thought the Foxtrot looked great on the pattern board, and I’m sure it would
do well with about any choke. Just like any load, find the right combination and it’s golden!

Re: Haunted Outdoors patterning 410

Patterns looked great to me! But here is what Blue Collar Outdoors had to say.
Don’t know any of the parties involved here but have watched their pattern reviews
And find them informative. Just thought wow that’s pretty harsh.

I would try to lightly spread that ring with some circlip pliers and while doing that rotate it.
Those holes have to be there for a reason??..I would think?
