Re: Crispi boots
For what it’s worth.. we’ve ran Crispi Lapponias for a few years without issues with leaks. My partner wears them daily for work. Same results. I have a hard time spending that kind of money in boots that I know are going to just leak and I am going to pretty much trash over the course of a turkey s...

I wear wrangler outdoor pants and academy brand pfg style shirts. I’ll add a layer depending how cold it is, but I always have those on.

Re: Coronavirus aka Chinavirus
From an ICU nurse in Georgia who doesn’t buy into the media BS.. it’s real and it’s coming. We’re just in the beginning and it’s already crippling the local area. Y’all spend your time in the turkey woods and avoid people the best you can. We’ve had patients in the area as young as 31 with severe re...

When are you going? Be prepared for inclement weather. It changes quick out there. We had 18° nights in May last year.

Sumtoy choked my 18.5” 3020 barrel. Jeb’s also comes with high recommendation What do you shoot through it? And how’s it pattern? Also have you shot it through a chrono to check velocity? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I run 1 3/8 oz 9’s or 1.5oz 9’s. The 1 3/8 does a little over ~200 in 10” an...

I handload and I don’t remember the construction on that one. I'm also concerned about altitude. Good question. Thanks for bringing it up. np. It's hard for me to wrap my mind around the changes in different parts of the country. You have to search to find 3000' in GA. The way my spring has been you gotta search just to find a long beard. I’ve heard good thin...

Re: Straight Stock or pisto grip?
Picked up a Weatherby SA-459 with pistol a few years ago and I love that thing. It's about all I ever want to shoot anymore unless I'm toting the .410 Yildiz. A .410 pistol would be cool and I think I saw Tristar is making one. Turning a yildiz .410 into a pistol is my next project Just gotta get t...

Re: Who calls?
I always call, but it's only because I rarely hunt with folks that are proficient with any call. They typically don't have enough confidence to call even when I encourage them to do so. However, I call "too much and too loud" on most days, and I can't touch guys like Dave Owens. If I hunt...

Re: Who calls?
As long as whoever I am hunting with has some fundamental knowledge of calling, I encourage them to call. I used to be in the "let me call 'cause I know what's best" category,....until I started telling the other hunters to call in an effort to give them advice. That was a real eye-opener...

It’s lots of fun on private ground. Pretty solid adrenaline rush. Wouldn’t the real rush be on public ground!? 😆 Guesswho.. my ZipLoc brother from another mother! I’ve tried it ONCE on public ground in an area a long way from a parking area. Just used a fan though. I don’t care for anything red, wh...

Re: Light 12s
I can’t speak for the sxs but the yildiz single is around 4 pound with a trimmed stock and 18.5” barrel. I can get you an actual weight later if you want it
