Re: Camo
I have been looking at this as well and really liked the green pattern for spring. Only thing I ever found was a hoodie. For the price though, would be nice if it was the newest UA technology with Cold Gear Infrared and Storm. I only saw the green at Cabela's.

My favorite in Buckhannon, WV would be Brake's Dairy King! Best pepperoni rolls in town!! Good menu with anything you would like. Great ice cream year round too. The Daily Grind has a Boss sandwich, which puts peanut butter on a grilled chicken sandwich with L/T/O. MMM, MMM, Good! As for chain, Outb...

Great ideas, I'll work on it soon. Just to be sure, you are talking of shimming the site or the base? I'm thinking the site

Re: New Red Dot Recs
What would you use to shim? I have thought of this, but couldn't find/think of anything to use. I'd gladly do this over getting a new one. I love Burris FF sites and Marty has really been good to me, so hate to move away. Thanks for the help guys!!

New Red Dot Recs
I started with a Mueller Quick Shot, was a performer, but didn't like how high it sat on the receiver. This year went to a FF III. For my son's 20 gauge it was a seamless transition from the FF II. For the 835, 24" shooting Hevi 3.5" #7, it was terrible. I was unable to get enough adjustme...

Re: .243 load suggestions for coyote and deer?
I'm not ready to put up the cost of loading, and haven't been able to find the 90 g Accubond in a factory load. I love the accubond and have killed many deer with my .270 and the Federal 140 g Accubonds. Devastating on deer. I thought the Nossler Varmaggedon would be like the accubonds, but admitte...

Re: Mossberg 835 Question
If you are shooting TSS, then I used an IC .710 and put up 280-300 with 2 oz #8 in a 3" load. It was great and didn't beat you up!! I had great 20" numbers as well. The only thing about the IC is the pattern seemed to be more oval than round. Kinda weird.

.243 load suggestions for coyote and deer?
I have been using the Remington Cor-Lokt 100 gr for deer. They all have died pretty quick, but I am having some bullet fragmentation problems I don't like. My son has taken 3 at 100-150 yds, perfect behind the shoulder shots, but the guts still get hit. There were entrance and exit wounds behind bot...

I would disagree. I have a Panasonic and it works great. I haven't gotten a kill on it yet, but I really like it. Will try to get a deer video on it with upcoming youth days.

My season
Haven't been on much, but have been hunting hard. Our season opened up with youth day on 4/20. Had 3 come to 150 yds and that was it. Heard 5-6 though. Opening day I took a first time hunter and got one to 80 yds but another hunter spooked him off. Hunted hard rest of the season. Was able to get my ...

Re: What was your moment?
I would say it is every time my son kills a bird. I have done something right, either put us in the right place, based on scouting, sounded enough like a hen to get him to come, or just been lucky, but I'll take it if that is the case.

Re: Nesting Hens
One of the guys I hunt with told me that those hens that either don't get bred or lose a nest get nasty. They are mean to other hens because their one purpose in life is to have babies. After your idea, this would be the first time I would have had to really think about that, but it fits. :dontknow:

Hey guys, my name is Raymond. I live in central WV. Going to try hard to get to PA, OH, and hopefully TN. We'll see. When I get home from work I'll try to post up a pic for a banner and team name. I have one I really like.
