Re: 20g choke for tss\steel
Go online and look at the Boss copper-plated bismuth 20 gauge loads, 1 1/8 oz @ 1,350 fps. The straight 4's and 3/5 loads both have @ 175 pellets and have gotten good reviews. For ducks and geese I would check out the Trulock or Carlson's, Extended, non-ported, Improved Modified @ $45. The ported c...

Re: 111 yard coyote HW15 BB
I misspoke on the drop for HW15 BB @ 110 yds. It is 30", not 36" (misread as HS instead of HW15) with 3.97" penetration (1300 fps). Lead 3Buck is almost identical with 29.43" of drop and 4.1" penetration (1300 fps). Thanks. Considering that I aimed at his ears, I'd say that...

LOL, I do have an uncontrollable twitch...
That is what I believe.
What does KPY predict for penetration at that range?Spuriosity wrote: ↑July 29th, 2020, 7:50 am KPY predicts 36" of drop at that distance when started at 1300 fps.

Re: 111 yard coyote HW15 BB
Pushing the back side of the end zone from the 1 yard line... I don't know if it's repeatable but I won't forget it!

Re: 111 yard coyote HW15 BB
Talk about your golden BB. Can't imagine there was much pattern integrity at that distance, and the drop would have been considerable. Impressive performance and good riddance! X2. Did you hold over much? I would guess 4 feet or more of drop at that range, but that’s a total guess. Did not intentio...

111 yard coyote HW15 BB
So getting out of the shower this morning, I looked out the window and see a coyote trotting across the back yard. Grabbed the closest gun/ammo that was handy, a 12 gauge Beretta 303 with Improve Modified choke and a couple rounds of discontinued Federal Dead Coyote ammo. Dead Coyote is 1-1/2 oz of ...

Re: Lightweight Youth Big Game Rifle Build Completed
Very cool project and a nice write up. A little envious of a lightweight carry gun that shoots like that.

Re: Hearing Protection
I've tried Walkers, Pelters and Howard Leight muffs. I can't tell you which model of H-W muffs I had because I returned them in short order. I currently have both the Peltor Tactical 6-S and the Walkers Game Ear Alpha 360. The Peltor muffs are of better quality and they handle muzzle blast suppressi...

Scope mount NEF shotguns
How do you attach a scope/red dot sight to an NEF shotgun? I have a 10 gauge and a 20 gauge that I'd like to put a red dot and maybe a weapons mounted light. Primarily use these for critter control after dark with some day time use thrown in.

Great video. What is the tripod/gun mounting system that Al is using?
