Indeed, thank God for good neighbors. My wife and I have been blessed as well. 8.5 inches of snow fell on us so I went to start the SNOWNOMA and get to plowing. Hit the key and nothing. Dang started froze up. Neighbor came over and crawled under the truck and banged on the starter with a hammer while...

Re: Who is Moving My Trap?
Skunk for sure. As stated use a Conibear otherwise your gonna wind up with a pissed off skunk that you either have to shoot or release. Google skunks and you will be surprised how many different one there are. We have "Bluejay Barrons Skunks " at my deer camp .

Re: Baked Perch
Got a recipe somewhere for Chipper Perch. Use crushed potato chips for breading. You mentioned Parmesan cheese which got me to thinking about crushed Cheezits like I use on turkey nuggets. HMMMMMM.

Pulled Bear (Almost as good as pork)
Didn't have much luck finding anything on smoking a bear shoulder for pulling so I experimented .Decided to treat it like I do pork butts. 6 lb shoulder. Wiped down with olive oil and made a rub using Rufus Teague meat rub,McCormick Brown sugar bourbon ,garlic powder and Lawreys. Stuck in the fridge...

Dang thing had a dressed weight of 350 lbs. I already had a 1/4 Angus I bought in Oct. Along with my bear and the buck I shot my two fre...

Finally Got My Bear
In Michigan bear tags are issued thru a lottery system. The more years you apply the more chances you have. In the area I hunt "Red Oak" it takes about 9 points to be drawn. One point per year,so you may not get drawn for 9 years . I have had 3 permits in 27 years. Emergency surgery kept me out of t...

Scope Mount Fabrication. ???
I don't want to learn to shoot left handed. So I need to fabricate some sort of mount that will allow me to shoot my crossbow right handed while looking through the scope with my left (Good) eye. Multiple retina tears and surgeries has left my right eye pretty weak. No matter how much I try to set t...

Re: Bear Cam Pics.
I C now, it's that tire in the background and at night pics that look like cubs :banghead: It's a tire from an end loader. Friend of mine owns a gravel pit. Got it from him. I figure that tire has to weigh at least 300 lbs. Dang bear drug it 6-8 feet. I had to use the polaris ranger winch to move i...
