Re: Hearing protection
I have the Walkers game ears that look like actual ol fogey hearing aids. These actually work a 100tines better than the muffs. And no where near as hot like the muffs are. I’ll be getting the ESP’s to try out. My Walkers in the pass didn’t always do right because I had been using the foam inserts....

Re: Did some preparing
Nice job, looks good bear oil does make great pastry shortening, I've rendered and eaten a lot of it. also use it for all types of gun oil for my muzzloaders, no petroleum based oil goes inside the bore on any of my guns. I let it sit for a day or 2 in a big bowl and the fine oil will rise to the to...

Re: Bobwhite SxS sights
I have a moderately heavy 7.75 lb old 12 gauge hammer gun that will shoot right barrel to the right and left barrel to the left with any increase in shot charge. I have reduced the black powder charge and increased shot charge working on tighter center core patterns. This gun also follows the norm o...

Re: Bobwhite SxS sights
Im seriously considering one of these in 20ga . Those of you who have them, is the barrel regulation acceptable. I will definitely go with the skinner sights. Also what chokes does ot take? I have a Gen. one 20 gauge. It was probably regulated for 7/8 oz. loads. Barrel regulation is pretty good wit...

Re: Bobwhite SxS sights
That’s not really how peep sights work, especially with large diameter appertures or even no apperture at all. The way it’s supposed to work is by placing front “bead” on target looking through the rear sight. One of the visual phenomena is that your brain centers the front sight in the rear sight ...
