Re: Problem with Winchester Long Beard XR
Funny (somewhat) that you posted this. I bought a box this year for now 11 year olds mossberg 20 gauge. The first turkey (eastern) of this year the first shell did not go off and was same scenario you painted. We were able to rack another (same box) and get that bird. We then shot 3 more birds in a ...

Ocellated
My son has expressed interest in an ocellated turkey which i hadn't previously considered. How many of you have been?
Which outfitter did you go with and would you use them again?
How was the overall experience?

Re: Number 1 hunting tip
I've always thought about the turkey and the hunter being two pong balls on a large map. Each bouncing around, and to win you basically have to intersect very near the other ball at the right time. If you know he's in the NE corner of the map at 1 pm, you should be bouncing there (and each piece of ...

Just to point out the obvious if you drink 3 sips less water in the morning you’ll negate the 6 oz or carry 2 less shells

28 vs 20 ga for first gun
Guys,
I'm a new member here, but hunt turkeys pretty furiously and am excited to start my young twins into the sport. I've settled on either a 28 or 20 ga yildiz over and under and was wondering your thoughts on recoil of the two, and pros / cons.
Suggestions?
