IF you ever get a long beard you could just swap the beards and no one would really know.

OR make it a double beard!

Re: Save the poults

There's a live trap or two set year round here. My dad said he caught 14 coon and 8-9 possums last year just round his chicken coop. That's alot of vermin to be roaming around messing up all upland gamebird nests. Since fur prices have declined over the last several years small furbearer populations...

Your pan should be about level with the jaws. Trap should be burried at least enough not to scoot around. Will the dog tie out stakes slide off the T posts?

If your wife has a Kitchen Aid mixer you can get the grinder attachment and it works great. I used to use a hand grinder but we both wore out.

It will only have a true zero at one distance. You will be a little right at really close distances and a little left at increasingly longer distances. Depending on your zero distance.

Re: Strutter or Looker ?

I always shoot the looker first. I have had really good luck shooting the looker first and then going back a few days later and getting the strutter. Seems IF i shoot the strutter first its very difficult to get the looker later on. I read long ago in one of the turkey hunting books that the looker ...

They are making it hard on our native brookie population round here. Never saw them 20 years ago and now they are everywhere. All the way back in the little 1' wide streams back in the mtns.

Re: Before Pulling the Trigger

If you are using a mouth call try cutting just as you swing your shotgun to the turkeys head. Usually throws them off just long enough for you to make the shot. I don't jerk the gun but just a controlled swing like leading a bird or clay pigeon.
