Re: Turkey Hunting Public Land
Start scouting now, try and learn every little trail, path, creek crossing whatever it takes to be where that Turkey wants to be. Keep in mind mid mornings and later after the "masses of asses" have left, less is often more when it comes to calling on Public including types of calls i.e.-...

Re: Turkey Hunting Public Land
What he said AND: be the first one to your parking spot and respect the hunter there before you by moving on. Other hunters will not practice the same but they should. Re: Most productive box call
The one I accidentally crushed in my truck door :banghead: Found it while hunting public ground in NY about 30 yrs ago. Had an Ol Timer inform me it was a Ben Lee twin hen, that call screamed turkey. It was a slow motion tragedy, as I slammed the door I watched that precious piece of Sacredness be ...

Hmmm. The professional sarcasm here probably concludes my helpful input. Or is that just me being sarcastic. Its just a jab all in fun. I stop and look at them every time I make it to Cabela's or the few stores that carry them. Its the $250 that has kept me from pulling the trigger. On a ...

I don’t hardly ever carry a box call on road trips
So I keep ammo there along with a trumpet and other stuff. Also in the left inside zippered pocket

been using those for years like thatTurkinator wrote: ↑March 15th, 2024, 4:59 pmI am using plastic wad cups. And a plastic gas seal over the powder, so I figure a osc made from a meat tray probably won’t add much.

Re: Most productive box call
I hardly ever use a box call while hunting. But Darrin Dawkins sent me his personal one sided to take on the road this spring
I texted him after I got it and asked him if he really expects me to mail it back when done lol
Rough Neck Calls also makes a good box
So does MattVanCise

My gun will not be drilled and tapped..It shot so close to the bead i...
