Re: Save the poults

Coons are plain crazy, a lease I was managing the landowner ran traps for fun all summer to relieve crop damage, he would stop in September so he wouldn't mess with our hunting. We were talking one day and he said he hadn't caught any coons near a food plot we have, showed him all of them on the tra...

New Mexico, Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan and Nebraska should cover it. I moved out of Illinois so this will be the first spring in 30 years I am not hunting there...OMG

Re: Flying w/shotgun

Print a copy of the airline and TSA gun regs. I agree with the above, get a case that allows you to disassemble the gun, may help put someone at ease in case you get a person not used to checking guns. I have not flown with a gun, have with a bow many times, I use a double bow case and pack clothes ...

Re: Michigan?

No public land hunting in lower MI, check the 2020 Turkey digest ;) $151 base license and $15 turkey tag and you print your base license off and they send you your tag. Also, "IF" you can find a sales licensing shop open, they can sell you your turkey tag and print it for you!! Good luck!...

Re: Alabama #5

I am hearing of a lot of hunting going on down south with guys off work, hopefully it does not have dire consequences in the next couple years.

At least everyone can still blame the DNR!

Re: Nitro Ammo

A friend of mine has a box(25) of nitros, pure junk, almost all the crimps are bulging and the buffer leaked out of all of them, even the ones the crimps are good on.

I know a guy, a local Cop when I sold guns, he had one that both barrels went off, broke a finger or two.

Not sure if it was .410 or 45/70

Try and find one that attaches with an e clip, so the stud swivels on the cap, otherwise it may come loose while hunting!

Re: Turkey Hunt Outfitter in Delaware or Rhode Island?

Great example of hunters helping hunters, good idea to start off with some states with difficult access, by the time you get to the easy ones you should be competent enough to go DIY if you choose! Good luck, I have been considering the slam, I have killed birds in 7 states, possibly 8 if you count ...

Re: Thoughts on

If you shoot at a human crawling behind a turkey fan you are the one responsible, you pulled the trigger not the clown behind the fan. Seems there are more shot in other ways while turkey hunting which I also never could understand! I rarely use a male decoy(or any decoy) on public land and if I do ...

Re: Thoughts on

I am not for or against, kill birds any way that is legal, if they make it illegal so be it, they are doing for safety reasons though I have yet to hear of anyone getting shot while reaping? Michigan has a law against any motion on a decoy that is not due to wind, I am not positive on the wording. T...
