Royal slam done

Post by OLE RASPY »

Completed my royal slam April 25th. It was a awesome trip. Had a blast in Mexico. The hospitality was second to none. Loaded with birds. I killed the evening I got there. We killed 9 birds in 1.5 days. 6 of us. Then it was story time and drinking time the other 2 days. GOOD TIMES.
Rio Sonora outfitters gets it done. 👍🏻
Great group of guys to in camp. Stats of my bird. 18# 10.875” beard and .750 spur and a broke spur.

Congrats on the Royal Slam! Was this your first time to hunt in Mexico? How was that process? Did you fly in or drive drive into Mexico?

Damn thing about it. Arizona requires you to purchase a hunting license before applying for draw..

Thanks. Yes this was first time hunting in Mexico. We flew in to Arizona. Brad Fulk guide picked us up and we got a hotel in seirra vista Arizona that night. They picked us up next morning headed to border. Border crossing was easy. Then drove to hunting camp from there. Bout 5 hrs. It was so easy. Everything. Just listen to brads guys and everythang is good.

That’s why we did it in Mexico with a guide. Easy. I’ve researched it for a long time. 👍🏻

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Congratulations Raspy!

Did you all take shotguns with you? Or use guns provided by the guide? I hear it’s a pain to take guns across the border.

Thanks. Naw we used there guns and shells. I shot a rem 870 with Kent tungsten shells.
It’s not that big of deal to take guns across according to brad. It was gonna be a extra $150 I think to take it across but that wasn’t the problem I just didn’t want to pack it.
