Benelli M2 Drilled & Tapped?

Post by Hunt4spurs87 »

Just purchased a brand new M2 and curious as to what I can expect to pay to have it drilled and tapped for a red dot?

About $20/hole. Go with a 336 style mount (only 2 holes) for $40-ish.

Stay as far back on the reciever as you can when you drill & tap it ! The metal is thicker there . Only 2 holes !

Rob Roberts quoted me 40 a hole but will give Military discount maybe that’s worth it

Unless y’all are neighbors, you’ll have to incur shipping costs. Any halfway reputable gunsmith can do it well and in minutes. Likely well under $40/hole.

The 336 mount is good. I think the Sumtoy Base is good as well. 50 for the base, and William will drill and tap. Not sure what shipping would be. Should t be more than 15-25 for shipping

A local gunsmith quoted me $20 per hole, but ended up only charging me $25 for the both.

I'd have more than 2 holes. If one screw gets a little loose then you will have troubles. Drilled and tapped my own Benelli with two holes the first time. It has four holes now and I was in the thicker rear portion. If you were closer I do it for you.

God Bless, Louis

Thanks for your service!

drill it at the back. put 6-48 screw that way if you ever have a problem you can go to 8-40.
