While doing some yard work this morning, I noticed some new groundhog holes at the rock pile. I went back at about 05:05 this evening & spotted 1 on top of a rock where I had shot number 1. It dropped down before I could get on it. I scanned the rest of the pile &, when I looked back, I saw a little of its head. It climbed back on top of the rock & became number 2 at 05:10.
As I was walking back, about ½ way there, I saw another 1 sitting on a different rock but it was gone before I could get off a shot. I’ll try later this evening.
Went back a couple of more times but it never popped out. There’s always tomorrow.

That it is. It's been so windy that I've gone to the .223.
