Mounted up a fastfire with a burris speed bead on my benelli 28ga UL. Haven't seen any patterns posted with this gun yet. This is Hal's 1 1/2oz TSS load of straight #9s for the 28ga. Shot out of my Benelli 28ga UL with the factory full choke at laser rangefinder 40 yards. Pattern is tight. 278 in the 10". I loaded the pattern into shotgun insight and by moving the 10" around a little was able to get 320 in the 10". Going to try the IM and see if I can get 20 number that are a little closer to the 10" number

Holy cow man. That is crazy. Never seen numbers that high in any of mine, with the same load. 260 is about as high as I’ve seen. I like my 230-240. IM may be the ticket, heck, maybe even Mod.
Feel, don't think. Trust your instincts.

Here is an update on the benelli 28ga chokes with Hal's 1 1/2oz straight #9s. Shot these again with the factory Mod this time. .531 constriction. IMO the pattern is much more balanced between the 10 and 20. I shot 3 of these and patterns were all within a few percent in the 10" and 20". For some reason, the POI is more consistent than the POI I get with the full choke which. Pattern distribution was also more consistent than with the full choke. I found the choke I like and ready to roll a bird with this setup this year. 245 in the 10" is still a big number, but I feel much better about 195 in the 20.

Here is the shotgun Insight analysis of the same load pattern. It takes about 1 minute to process when hand counting it takes me about 10 minutes and I always wonder if I lost count along the way. Pretty good match.
