Blues
Blues
I'm having a tough elk season so far and didn't see hide nor hair of an elk today, but I did luck into a pair of blue grouse today. The first was stone dead upon arrow impact, but it took me almost 30 minutes to find the second after it got its wings and flew down hill 100 yards with my arrow sticking through.
We had more of these in Colorado. I typically run into spruce and ruffed grouse but this area apparently has a good population of blue (dusky) grouse.

That's pretty cool. I'd forget about the elk real quick.

ever wonder where the white goes when the snow melts??
Re: Blues
Maybe not in the photos, but Ive had my tail kicked by the weather and the elk this year. It's been beyond frustrating.

Re: Blues
Well done. I haven't been able to get out yet this year. Got rained out the first time, hoping to go next weekend.
