New Toy
If anything rivals hunting for me it's cooking. Sal and I make a great team and dream up some concotions. So after bbqing for years upon years, I have gotten bored and decided to give a try at something else. Was in Walmart and saw a Blackstone griddle top and knew I had to have one, they had the 36 inch which is huge and heavy and opted for the 28 as we will use it camping and travel with it. Very easy to assemble it appeared as I watched sal drinking a beer lol..
Got her all seasoned up and had to try. Went to the store and got stuff for fajitas, green and red peppers, onion fajita seasoning and steak. They were incredible. The next night we put 24 burgers on for Sal's family with room for hotdogs and mushrooms and onions..
This thing is awesome it is so versatile from huge breakfast to stir fry to venison to burgers. The gas and charcoal grills are gonna see way less work. It's amazing how even the heat is and ease of cleanup.
Be a great addition to anyone's hunting camp

So with everything going on with sals dad have been away from the campground and the griddle, but hammered down tonight.
Sirloin, carrots, purple cabbage, broccoli, onions, baby corn, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots and mushrooms sizzled in with Mongolian sauce placed over gooey angel hair with butter and parm.

Yer killin' me here, Tom. It all looks crazy good.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Brother this griddle does all the work.... Easiest method of outdoor cooking. It's amazing and versatile. Honestly not sure.if I'll use a grill much anymore. It's heat is so even.
Tonight if I go to the campground steak, veggie either asparagus or zucchini.

Re: New Toy
Did you buy the whole shooting match (burners and Griddle top) or just the griddle top? Is that a double propane burner underneath? Or a gas grill?

Re: New Toy
So today my bf and love turned 34. Instead of going out she told me to cook. So we headed up to the camper. I made her favorite steak, a Chuck eye not to be confused with a Chuck steak. Essentially it's the cut from the 5th rib, just before they cut t he ribeye at half the price.
Sal's been craving shrimp so I got the biggest I could find and seasoned with Weber Cajun, Weber uses Durkee spices which are fresher and more potent than McCormick.
Finally asparagus, covered in butter garlic and herb slather.
The steaks were a perfect medium rare. Sal asked for more shrimp so the romantic in me made a heart.

Honestly guys I have always been a die hard charcoal guy, but this thing is AWESOME. It is the easiest thing I've ever cooked on. Versatility is unmatched.
Got my 28 for 146 at hd, check your Walmart, some guys are getting 36 for that price or lower. We got the 28 because we will take it places.
