Cool - killed one last day of spring season, saw her roosted - flew down with 'beardless' gobbler - later in morning they came back, she went home with me. I'd shoot one in fall, but not spring anymore.

my niece has killed 3 bearded hens during the spring season over the years.

I swear 2 of them were gobblers until we liked up to them and figured them out as hens.

My daughter has killed a bearded hen. come to think of it, we have a lot of bearded hens in northern Indiana lol

Just because their legal doesn't mean you need to shoot them. I go on the theory that if you kill a hen, bearded or not, in the fall, she won't breed and produce more turkeys in the spring. Let'em walk!!

If we didn’t have an over abundance of hens, I wouldn’t. But we have a lot of hens
