Picked up a Shade Mountain Box Call by Ernie Fetters. It is Purple Heart over Holly. Has a really raspy sound to it but I am going to give it a go or two next season. It is a beautiful call and his side angles are neat. I also like how he made the bottom of the box, makes it easy to hold. Thanks for looking!

Nice looking call. My Grandaughter has a purple heart pot call that was handmade by The Spursuader,a poster on this site. It sounds great . Hope you have much success with your call .

Purple Heart is a special wood in turkey hunts. Makes a great striker and box wood.

WOW!!! Favors My Custom Purple Heart Cedar Parquet Checkered Box Call that David Halloran Made. I received it as a Birthday Gift back in 2011. He even signed it to me. Mine has beautiful Spalted Maple End Blocks and Checkered Lid....I've never used it and it's Funny because I seem to collect Box calls and a Box call is a Call I rarely ever Use and the 1 I carry is a Woodhaven Walnut Real Hen but I can't say that any Box call has ever brought a Gobbler to me but that could be because I a Mouth Call and the Slate Calls I make myself are my Go-To Calls but That's a Very NICE looking call you got there!!!!!!
