Capt. Mel's Everglades Call

Back in 2009, I found a package in the mailbox that was filled with a crystal over slate, Everglades tamarind & red mahogany turkey call!!!! There was also a tulipwood, a mahogany, & a cherry striker. I tried all 3 strikers on both sides immediately & really like the sounds. The slate will really reach out there while the glass is a little more subtle.
The call design is unique in that there is a "lip" forming the top of the call. I can place the call between my thumb & 1st finger & it rests there quite comfortably.
The call is from Capt. Mel of Gotcha Game Calls. Thx for the great call, Capt. Mel & the super turn-around time.
Since I received the call, it has always been in my vest & has called many birds to the gun. I used it along with a Ron Clough box & a Primos Sonic Dome Triple with Bat Cut mouth call on all 4 of my 2016 spring birds.
From left-to-right, I believe the strikers are: Cherry, Tulipwood, & Mahogany.
From Capt. Mel:
Glad you like the call George. You had the strikers in the right order. The cherry is a Quaker Boy striker they discontinued, its Cherry that they stained to a walnut color. The other 2 I did make and you have them correct. The mahogany and tamarind grows here in the keys in a tropical hardwood hammock setting, they are protected but these are trimmings, hurricane damage etc. Good luck!
