Anyone recognize this trumpet?

Post by Turkinator »

I bought this trumpet on ebay. It looked well made but had no info on its maker. This thing runs great! Horn mp. Cocobola I think barrel. Brass feral. There's engraving on the brass. Thought one of y'all might shed some light on it.

David Cirincione said it. He has one and will dig it out and share a picture. Said it’s rare and surprised it’s not signed. May be a older one

Does anyone know if Mr Breedlove is still making calls? I wouldn't mind picking up another.

Turkinator,
You have one of my very first trumpets I made...that is the only one of my early attempts I know that got out to the general public. I was surprised to see it. In fact, I had to really work to remember how you would have been able to gain possession. If I am not mistaken...and I could be wrong, but I don't think I am...I traded that trumpet to John Stephens, the president of RNT Duck Calls, for a duck call when he was at an outdoors show in Raleigh, NC, approximately 2000. John Stephens encouraged me to keep turning...he told me that eventually if I kept turning they would begin to look better...LOL!!!

Turkinator,
Today at lunch with a friend, he told me about this thread. I had not seen it, or I would have responded earlier. Thank you for your kind words.

Those original RNT duck calls are worth a mint! 600-1500 is what I’ve seen them sell for

I've known Marvin for over 20 years, and his trumpets are as good as you can get. Workmanship is outstanding.
